The Central Lake Chamber welcomes new event ideas. When submitting a new event idea, we ask that you become the chairperson for your event or, at minimum, donate your time. If your idea is adopted, our Events Coordinator and the CLCC President will help organize and expedite your event.

2014 Events



Boat Parade on Intermediate Lake
July 3
Live music from 6 - 10 pm, sponsored by the Chamber. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Food vendors begin at 7 pm. The Village of Central Lake will sponsor a boat parade. Please call the Village office for more information. 231-544-6483. Where's Steven starts @ 6:00 pm followed by Shady Hill.


July 4 Events

Mason's Pancake Breakfast
At Mason's Lodge (2324 M-88) between 7 and 11 am.

Friends of the Central Lake Library – Book Fair
The Book Friendly Cottage next to the Central Lake District Library on Maple Street between 9 am and 4 pm.

July 4 Kids of ALL Ages Day
At Central Lake High School.....water slides, dunk tank, bouncyhouses, face painter...no charge. Sponsored by the Chamber.

Local vendors display their treasures at the Chamber of Commerce between 9 am and 3 pm.

Strawberry Social
At the First Congregational Church at 11 am.

Begins at noon.

Lions Club Chicken BBQ Dinner
At Thurston Park following the parade.

Antrim Outdoor Fest at Thurston Park
Outdoor activities for all at Thurston Park - including camping, fishing, hunting, boating, dog training and conservative groups. There will also be kids' activities, door prizes and a band.

Rural Central Lake residents often want to pass out treats too. Reserve your spot at the Blue Pelican parking lot to pass out your Halloween treats.

Pumpkin Carving Contest
Bring decorated or carved pumpkins to Bachmann's Store before judging begins at 5 pm. Categories include both children & adults.

10th Annual Miss Central Lake Pageant
Young ladies compete for money at the Blue Pelican Room in Torch Lake - then spend next summer riding the Central Lake Chamber of Commerce float in area parades and attend Chamber-sponsored events.
